EPDM has been on commercial roofs for over 50 years — longer than TPO or PVC have existed. It's a synthetic rubber membrane that's exceptionally durable, tolerates thermal cycling better than any single-ply, and comes in ballasted, fully-adhered, and mechanically-attached assemblies. When done right, EPDM outlasts almost anything else on the market.
